This project is based on gas leakage detection or smoke detection using the mq 2 gas smoke sensor arduino uno and gsm sim900a module. Pin wiring to arduino uno. We have used a lpg gas sensor module to detect lpg gas. The mq6 gas sensor detects the concentration of gas in ppm and outputs analog value which can be converted to digital measure using inbuilt analog to digital convertor of arduino.

The value of the digital measure will be 10 bit long and varies from 0 to 1023. When lpg gas leakage occurs it gives a high pulse on its do pin and arduino continuously reads its do pin.
