Fiamma Awning Won T Close Completely

I ve now had more experience with my awning than anyone should ever have.

Fiamma awning won t close completely.

Southdowns motorhomes presents fiamma f45 ti l awning opening and closing operation. The uprights do not line up with the supports and so i can not snap it shut. With that i got it within maybe 1 4 or so of closing. The awning will not lift up high enough to line up to latch into the protective metal cover and will not close completely.

Anyhow i wrote fiamma and got some help from them in adjusting the awning to better close. Hi our fiamma f45i awning was not closing at the end opposite the winding mechanism. So the rear of my awning does this. I have before been able to grab the arm as my wife is letting it close and pull it over enough to get it to line up but this morning i was trying to get it done in the rain.

It looks like i should be able to manually push it into place and there s a little red tab that looks like a latch release of some kind but i can t seem to. Now the problem with the improper retraction of the awning is that there may be more than one scenario why the manual awning won t retract. When i crank it in the front latches nice and snug but the rear always just kind of hangs out. Last couple of times i used the awning i had a terrible time getting to close.

One of the possible causes may be that the awning s position where it attaches to the coach via the awning rail has moved. Reading the rather sparse instructions in the fiamma handbook i tried adjusting the presto fix which should realign the roller laterally but it seemed to make no difference. Fiamma slide out awning.
